September Creations
I must have sat down at least 10 times to write this blog post and was always being called away to last minute camping, or to the bees, getting the kids back to school, or something much more pressing such as jam making or the crazy idea that processing 30 pounds of tomatoes sounds like a good idea!
Yes I have many excises as to why it has been weeks since my last post!!

Having said that though, it has been a full start to the fall and I have been loving {mostly} every moment of it. My most recent foray was making Red Drums for the shop over at Red Moon designs and then I got to actually meet one of my customers when she dropped by to pick up a drum, which does not happen nearly as much as I would like, as we had a wonderful chat where she shared with me that thew drum was a celebration of her embracing her crone years as a gift to herself, and I was beyond happy to see the drum go to such loving hands. Then a day later a big commission came in to make 10 red drums for some local early childhood educators to use with the kids they work with. I was thrilled and happy for it, but my goddess do my red hands hurt!
Of course in between drums, my jewelry trays have been full with my new inspiration of creating a line called Ceremonial Jewelry and then I moved onto creating a ton of beautiful pieces with Picasso Jasper. Call I tell you how much I am in love with the earthiness of these stones, of the reds and browns they create, I could go on and on!!
“Picasso Jasper is a earth element stone and very grounding. For centuries people have used the unique markings in this stone as a way of divination and telling the future. Picasso Jasper allows us to tap into the ancient past of the earth and meditate deeply on own own inner knowing by connecting us to the earth.”
Yes, the weather has been wonderful and sunny, with cold evenings which are my favorite, as the smell in the air is so earthy and crisp, and it reminds me that it is time to pull our my Autumn recipies for pumpkin scones, soups and homemade chai.
And so I leave you with one last image of our outdoor shrine all decked out for last years Mabon, and send you many wishes for a sweet transition into fall…

Honeycomb and Bees, Amber and Citrine…..
This week I have been working hard on some new creations, keeping with the theme of spring and my beloved honeybees!
I proudly announce my new series of silver work Honeycomb!

Each one is a unique and one of a kind piece and set with Amber cabochons.
Finally yesterday I strung these beauties up with some of my favorite stones to work with Amber and Citrine to represent honey.
Both are now up at Red Moon Designs along with some other honey and bee related necklaces!

New Bee necklace and a Giveaway!
This week-end the sun was shining and my bees were flying about the hive enjoying the sun, which inspired me to make a necklace that I have been ruminating on for sometime now.
You see the last time I was buying beads I found the most amazing honeycomb shaped citrine beads, in fact I was so surprised I could not even believe my eyes, and promptly bought 2 strands, as I have never seen beads shaped like this before!

Then last night after a lovely e-mail from a customer asking about bee necklaces I was inspired to finally pull these beads and a bee pendent that I have been saving out and work with them, this is the final result!

This necklace is now up at the Red Moon Designs Store.
Now onto the giveaway!
As you all probably know another commercial holiday is coming up called Valentines day, and while I don’t usually go all in for the “celebrate because Hallmark tells you to” I am in favor of LOVE!
And so, it is with love in mind of all the supportive folks that have sent me the most generous e-mails and kind words supporting and loving the work that I do, that I have decided to do another giveaway to give back just a little more with this Rose Quartz necklace.
Rose Quartz being the stone of love, compassion and inner self love.

The rules are super simple, pop on over to my Facebook page and share the photo of this necklace on your personal page!
Each time you share it, your name goes in giving you multiple chances to win.
I will draw a name on February 14th, so have fun and good luck!
Sacred Jewelry Sale, and Red Drums back in stock!
This time of year is always an exciting one because it is when I like to take stock of the past years creations. My consignment stores are also taking stock as well, so they send everything home with me for a few weeks and I get to have a massive sale and fill up my store with creations that I have not seen in awhile, this is always really fun!
This year I have decided to try something new, and so I am throwing a giant Sacred Jewelry Sale!

What is this you ask?
Well for the past 2 years I have been fortunate enough to be able to work from home, make beautiful jewelry creations, and meet a whole host of amazing artists and kindred spirit jewelry lovers like myself. So I got to thinking about how to pay it forward a bit. Right now especially, since my jewel box is literally overflowing with creations that have come back to me from the consignment stores who are doing their year end inventory, I too am taking stock. I have been ordering in new pendents and beads and planning ahead for a new line of ancient copper and bronze jewelry I will make myself–loads of exciting stuff!
So about the “Sacred Sale” everything is on sale for as close to the price I paid for it as possible! I it is my hope that this sacred jewelry will come into the hands of their sacred owners, price be dammed!! “Click here to see the SALE now” New pieces will be added all month until the sale ends.
I was also able to re-stock the popular Red Drums, but most exiting of all is the use of a new tool I am using{created by my brother-in-law} called Fotobabble which allows me to record the sound of the drums so that you can hear what they sound like before ordering! Now I am the first to admit that these recordings do not sound nearly as good as they could, since I am only using my little lap top microphone, so I am looking into getting an external mic, that I am sure will make a big difference, ahh but for now it is still pretty cool to have this feature!

Bright Blessings
Antlers
Antlers seem to invoke something so primal and of the deep forest, for they reflect the wildness of the majestic deer that carry them.

Antlers also remind me of the ancient deer goddesses who wore the antlers on their head as a sign of respect and connection to the deer of the land, and to their guides. And how often they would shapeshift into deer and run through the forests wild and free.

Of Cernunnos the Celtic horned shaman and,

Diana goddess of the hunt and the moon…..

These days I have so many naturally shed antlers in my studio, they seem to be everywhere I turn, and I simply could not ignore them any longer, for they were asking to be made into beautiful things!
This is what I have come up with so far…..

These pretties will come with me to the Woman’s Winter Faire this week-end and then will be up at the shop next week.

Have a wonderful week-end everyone!
A Peek in the Jewel Box
This week I have been back to playing in the jewel box and have some new additions that I am in love with.
Perhaps they will inspire you too….
Luscious Red Garnets

A box full of jewels waiting to be worked with.

Green Garnets, Moss Agate and Ukakite, always a favorite of mine.
